Facelift recovery, quiet and discreet
After a facelift, controlling swelling and bruising early shapes how your appearance settles, and head elevation plus rest are central to that.
Overnight RN coverage, first 72 hoursWhy healing through the night protects your result
Incisions, and sometimes drains, need gentle attention; avoid bending, straining, or sleeping flat.
Discretion matters too, since most patients keep this recovery private. A nurse keeps you elevated and iced, manages incision and drain care, and provides quiet, discreet aftercare.

Questions patients ask us
How do I sleep after a facelift?
On your back, head elevated at roughly 30–45 degrees, without turning onto either cheek, usually for two weeks or more. Sleeping flat or face-down increases swelling and stresses incisions. A nurse maintains the elevation setup and gently corrects your position through the night.
How private is in-home facelift recovery care?
Completely private. Your nurse comes to you, home or hotel, in plain clothes or soft scrubs, on your schedule, with nothing that signals surgery to neighbors or visitors. Total discretion is one of Prestige's three pillars: private, in-home, confidential.
Who takes care of facelift incisions and drains at home?
Your RN does, following your surgeon's written orders exactly: cleaning incisions, managing any drains, watching hairline and ear areas for early signs of trouble, and logging every visit so your surgeon sees a complete record at follow-up.
How long does facelift swelling and bruising last?
Most visible swelling and bruising resolves over two to three weeks, with elevation, cold compresses, and rest doing the heavy lifting in week one. Many patients feel comfortable in public around the two-to-three-week mark. Daily nurse visits track the fade and keep healing on schedule.
